On the theme of this year’s world environment day, Green Skills Solutions conducted an activity based workshop on Beat the Plastics in Mount Abu Public School on 12 July 2018.
The Program included capacity building of students to shift towards ecofriendly choices. For example – use of glass bowls instead of plastic bowls, increase the use of earthen pots, carrying a cloth bag while shopping, refilling of pens and using resources they use in their day to day lives effectively and efficiently. Various activities were also conducted by her team members such as paper bag designing, students were encouraged to make flower pot and pen stand from used plastics. All the participants planted a sapling at the end of the workshop. Every student pledged to reduce the choice of plastics in their day to day life and make a transition towards suitable, environmentally- friendly and affordable alternatives to plastics.
